This class will be offered online on March 8 and 15 (Saturdays) - 11 am - 1.30 pm EST.
(These two sessions can be taken either as part of the full course or as a separate workshop. If you're interested in making a complete doll, please check out our other listing.)
Under my guidance, you’ll learn how to sculpt a beautifully needle-felted face, giving your doll its own unique personality.
The sessions will be taught live on Zoom and recorded, with a link emailed to you after each session. You’ll have access to the class recordings until October, giving you ample time to revisit the lessons, practice at your own pace, and refine your doll-making skills. Between sessions, you can expect some homework to help you progress, and you’re welcome to email me photos of your work for personalized feedback and guidance.
We will focus on creating the head for a 14" doll (though you will have the flexibility to adapt the techniques to other sizes). You will learn how to:
- Sculpt a firm, durable head that will maintain its shape for years.
- Achieve a harmonious and realistic appearance without overemphasizing facial features.
- Cover the head with skin fabric smoothly and wrinkle-free."
Please note that the price of the workshop does not include any materials or tools you will need during the class. A detailed list of required materials will be provided upon booking your seat.
